What is good about this station is that it is both a bus and a train station. The other great feature is that there is a bus to St. Jerome from the Laval Metro (subway) station, every half hour, so people who do not drive can come to St. Jerome for a few dollars (combining cost of subway and the bus) to be picked up by hosts from other points in the Laurentian Region. For those waiting there are seats, benches and little tables, and the bathrooms are kept clean..
Horrible customer service! I was injured, cold and wet from the rain after 100km bike ride. My husband and I were told we couldn't get on the bus back to Laval when we showed up at dusk (19:58) on September 3rd. I pleaded with 7 different employees to contact a supervisor and they all refused. I tried to call a taxi and none of them could take our bicycles. At this point it's our only options were to bike 3hrs in the dark or book a hotel at 125$. I told the lady at the ticket counter that no taxi could take us and I pleaded again with tears in my eyes. Her response was "I'm sure my supervisor will say no, but you can call customer service". What useless advice, customer service was closed for the day. Then she said there's nothing she could do it's because of the insurance. For emergencies I should call the 911. How terrifying is the supervisor for all those employees to refuse to ask? Where's the humanity? All of the STL and STM employees I've encountered had more empathy. They should be ashamed! Lessons of the day read the fine print on the back of the bus schedule.
